NHS Breast Screening Programme

The NHS Breast Screening Programme is a Screening Programme, which is a HEALTH PROGRAMME.

The NHS Breast Screening Programme is a national programme in England, which is directed towards detecting specific breast diseases and conditions in a Screening Population.

Breast Screening is a routine systematic testing of asymptomatic women with the aim of detecting breast cancers at an early stage, when they are more treatable.  The Breast Screening test for routine population screening in the over 50's is Mammography.
